After researching the Torrox market, we chose CS Abogados—and it was the best decision we could have made. Years ago, our first Spanish house purchase was marred by a lazy, corner-cutting lawyer. We love Spain, but the bureaucracy can be painstakingly brutal, so this time we knew we had to get it right. And we did. From our very first meeting with Carmen, the proprietor, in her bright, modern Torrox Costa office, it was obvious this would be a completely different experience. CS Abogados are property transaction specialists—unlike general firms, they live and breathe property sales and purchases. That expertise shone through. We received a clear, written quote upfront, and their service never once wavered, nor charges varied. Carmen then introduced us to her wonderful assistant, Lucia. Lucia is so calm, professional, and unfailingly polite, combined with perfectly fluent English. Lucia kept communication crystal-clear throughout, so we were never, ever left wondering what was happening. I’ll admit we pushed for speed, after being burned by our previous lawyer - who had controlled everything and dragged things out to suit his agenda. This time I was determined to stay locked-in and on top of the proces. However, with Lucia, I didn’t need to worry. She was always ahead of the game - as if she read my mind. The result? We instructed Carmen on 19/6/25 and completed our purchase on 3/7/25. Ten working days. That simply wouldn’t have been possible without Lucia’s efficiency and the team’s outstanding communication. They even handled all the supplier paperwork (electric, water, IBI, community charges etc), leaving us free to settle straight into our new home. In short, what I once dreaded turned into a seamless experience. Our extensive research paid off—we 100% made the right choice. Huge thanks to Carmen, Lucia, and the whole team!
